  • Elevate Isogard HD Cover Board

The ISOGARD HD cover board spreads the load and protects the insulation boards underneath. It combines impact resistance and ease of installation in a single durable product. It is also an excellent choice for refurbishment projects, used as recovery board over the existing roofing system. Elevate Isogard HD Cover Board The ISOGARD HD cover board spreads the load and protects the insulation boards underneath. It combines impact resistance and ease of installation in a single durable product. It is also an excellent choice for refurbishment projects, used as recovery board over the existing roofing system. < Back Next > ISOGARD™ HD ADDED STRENGTH AND PROTECTION FOR FLAT ROOFS Elevate’s ISOGARD HD cover board is a 12.7 mm thick, high-density, closed-cell polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam core laminated on both sides to a mineral coated fiberglass facer. When foot traffic on the roof is heavy, mineral wool insulation runs the risk of being crushed or, in the case of plastic foam insulation, the adhesion of the facer to the foam can be affected. The ISOGARD HD cover board spreads the load and protects the boards underneath. It combines impact resistance and ease of installation in a single durable product. It is also an excellent choice for refurbishment projects, used as recovery board over the existing roofing system. ISOGARD HD can be applied over existing as well as new roof surfaces and under fully adhered or mechanically attached single-ply roofing membranes. Features and benefits Outstanding performance ISOGARD HD has the highest thermal performance of any 12 mm rigid cover board and is resistant to extreme weather conditions. It has a superior wind uplift performance, lays flat and requires fewer fasteners per board compared to 25 mm insulation boards. Lightweight A single 1.22 m x 2.25 m ISOGARD HD cover board weighs only 5 kg, resulting in easy handling and placement. Quick and easy to install ISOGARD HD is easy to cut and handle for quick installation around roofing details such as drains or other penetrations, reducing installation time and labor costs. High compressive strength ISOGARD HD has a compressive strength of over 800 kPa (5 to 6 times that of a normal PIR insulation board). An added measure of protection ISOGARD HD adds structural strength to the entire roofing system and helps to absorb the effects of hail, foot traffic and other potentially damaging impacts. It can also enhance the fire performance of the roofing system Durable When installed correctly, ISOGARD HD will last for the lifetime of the building. Environmentally friendly ISOGARD HD is composed of mold-resistant material that does not support the growth of damage-causing fungi and bacteria. The board is manufactured with a 100% fiberglass, mold and moisture resistant facer and it contains more than 9% of post-consumer and post-industrial recycled combined content. The foam technology uses a HCFC-free blowing agent with a low GWP (Global Warming Potential) and zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential). Elevate Isogard HD Cover Board Data Sheet Download

  • Fire Collars

Fire collars prevent the passage of fire and hot gases from one compartment to another through service penetrations and ductwork. They are suitable for use in concrete and masonry walls and floors, as well as plasterboard partitioning walls. Fire wraps perform the same function but they must be installed within a solid construction masonry wall. They are suitable for use in concrete and masonry walls and floors, as well as plasterboard partitioning walls. Fire wraps perform the same function but they must be installed within a solid construction masonry wall. < Back Next > Fire stopping is a form of passive fire protection that is used to seal around openings and between joints in a fire-resistance-rated wall or floor assembly. Passive fire protection measures are less visible than ‘active measures’ such as sprinklers and fire extinguishers. Passive measures concern critical componentsthat should be incorporated into the framework of the building, and they are equally critical in the role of slowing fire spread at source. Passive fire protection is about dividing a building into compartments – usually determined by floors and walls. The aim is to ensure that these compartments are fully separated and therefore slow the spread of fire and smoke, contain the fire at its origin and protect escape routes. Internal services such as waste, water and drainage create large cavities to pass plastic, flammable pipes through the building. Utilities create cavities in walls or floors to pass plastic, flammable pipes through the building. These cavities can compromise the compartments, enabling fire to spread more swiftly. Pyroplex manufacture fire stopping products to seal these cavities and help to slow the spread of fire and smoke from compartment to compartment. Where penetrations and cavities are concerned, pipe wraps, pipe collars and construction sealants are important.
